Fannin UMC Council make 420 Haiti Health Kits

The Fannin Council of UM Churches met at BRUMC fellowship hall on January 31st for a covered dish dinner and to assemble health kits to send to Haiti. The contents of each kit include 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth, 1 large plastic comb, 1 finger nail file or clips, 1 large bar of soap, 1 dollar for tooth paste, and 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages. We have assembled 420 and hope to complete 580 more.

MEMBERSHIP: How do I join? Do I have to be baptised? Do you do emersion or sprinkle? What are the membership vows? Do you require tithing? Call the office to make a reservation in our next new member class where we can address all of your questions about becoming a full partner in ministry at Blue Ridge UMC.

COMMUNION: The elements will be served each week at the 9am service by intinction and on the first and third Sundays at the 11am worship service. The first Sunday of the month we will use the individual cups at the 11am service. We make communion available as frequent means of grace, mostly, because we need it more often than we realize and have people who desire to receive it frequently. If you would like communion served to you at your home, please contact the office and we will make arrangements to share them with you.  

CHOIR: The choir invites you to audition each Wednesday evening at 7pm when they practice. We welcome new voices who are willing to participate and make a joinful noise to the Lord!
