Our Candlelight Communion Worship will be at 7:00 pm. The service will feature: Carols, Instrumental Music, The Christmas Story from the Gospel of Luke, Holy Communion and the sharing of the Light as we sing “Silent Night” to close the service. Join us in our sanctuary located at in downtown Blue Ridge. Better get there early!
We Wish You a Joyous and Peace Filled Christmas!
I can hardly wait for this service. The congregation will sing the great Carols we all love. The Sanctuary is beautifully adorned. We will enjoy the music of the Trombone Ensemble, accompanied by organ on one piece. There will be a French Horn Duet, a Brass Quintet offering of “O Come All Ye Faithful,” a solo rendition of “O Holy Night” by Ms. Judy Cheyne, as well as great music on the organ by Hal M. Baccus, and on Piano by the aforementioned Ms. Cheyne. We will read the Christmas Story from Luke’s Gospel and light the Christ Candle, receive Holy Communion and light individual candles and sing “Silent Night” to conclude the service. It is my favorite service of the year and everyone is welcome. We look for a full house again, but will put out extra chairs and will be ready for anyone up in the mountains for Christmas to come help us welcome the coming of Christ.
