On Sunday, May 31,2015, we will celebrate the second anniversary of our congregation’s Capital Campaign, “Laying the Foundation for the Future.” We will have a combined 10:30 Worship service, then adjourn to the new property for a time of prayer followed by a picnic of hot dogs and hamburgers and homemade ice cream. We encourage worshipers to dress in casual attire (jeans and tennis shoes) to easily walk on our new property
Since we ended our Capital Campaign in 2013. we have surpassed the two thirds mark in our goal of giving more than $654,000 through the campaign. On May 31st our Campaign Committee will give a complete update of dollars pledged, dollars given, dollars spent to date and dollars owed on the property.
In the two years following the campaign , we have searched for, located and purchased a beautiful piece of property on Orvin Lance Drive. We have also voted to sell the property here in downtown and move to the Orvin Lance Drive location. We are now forming a transition team to make plans for transitioning to the new property which may well include moving to temporary facilities when our downtown property sells. Eventually, a Building Committee will be formed to oversee the construction of the new facility at the Orvin Lance Drive location.
We encourage all of our church members to prayer- fully consider where you are in your giving to this campaign. If you are a bit behind in that giving, we urge you to catch up. If you are able to increase what you pledged, please do so.
If you weren’t able to make a commitment earlier, now would be a good time. We look forward to seeing you at worship and at the property on May 31st!
Your Capital Campaign Committee,
Kevin Panter, Chair
