Welcome back to Fall schedules! School, Soccer, Football, Gymnastics, Dance…
What else can you and your children possibly fit into your schedule? GOD.
We will begin our ASAP (After School Adventure Program) with registration on Tuesday, August 19. This will provide an opportunity for parents, teachers and students to meet and set up transportation to and from the program. This program is for
elementary school children, grade K through 5. It begins at 3:30 pm each Tuesday and goes until 5:30 pm. We will continue with “Faith Weaver Friends” by Group. Faith Weaver Friends is, well, about friends. Kids apply each week’s Bible Point to their own lives in ways that relate to their peers. They discover what it really means to serve each other. With Jesus at the center, kids connect to God and each other through a varie- ty of fun activities which include, Bible stories, games, snacks, projects, music and a surprise station weekly.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Volunteers are needed to help with the ASAP program:
Bible storyteller, craft leader, snack leader, music leader, game leader and a surprise station leader. We will also need two van drivers or one driver and one rider at all times. We look forward to having some youth helping this fall also. We had such a wonderful group of leaders last year! I hope to hear from all of you again. We will take any days you are available. We are just grateful for your help!
Preschool begins with our “Open House” on Tuesday, August 5 at noon. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 6. For more information, please call 706-632-5590.
The Seamless Summer Feeding Program came to a close at the end of July. Although things did not go as planned, we still made it work. We were able to feed 30 children by the end of summer by going out into their community, a trailer park in Morganton. I believe the volunteers were rewarded as they each took a drive out to deliver the food to see the children we were able to serve. Thanks to all who helped!
